ExciteLab startupChemReclaim successfully closed its first funding round, backed by Horizon Flevoland, Rabobank and Loyal VC. The startup from batch 3 develops high-performance nanopowders and ultra-thin coatings made from rare-earth and precious metals. By engineering these materials at the nanoscale, ChemReclaim enables manufacturers to achieve high performance while using significantly less metal, helping to reduce material consumption, costs and dependency on scarce resources.

When Germany's startup hubs are mentioned, Dresden rarely makes the shortlist. Yet the numbers suggest Saxony is becoming harder to ignore: 698 active startups, two unicorns and more than €1 billion in startup funding raised since 2020, according to theSachsen Startup Monitor 2025. A significant share of that activity is concentrated in Dresden, and the reason is unusually physical.The city has become one of Europe's most concentrated microelectronics locations. The industrial partners, suppliers and research institutions that founders elsewhere may need to travel across Europe to reach are clustered in and around the city: Infineon, Bosch, GlobalFoundries and, increasingly, TSMC's European joint venture.

With this fresh capital, veiio will launch its first real-world pilot applications and validate its technology alongside clinical partners.
